Sampson Wildlife Area

Sampson Extensive Wildlife Habitat Area is a 38-acre property located in Barron County. Find it by going 3 miles north of Barron on Highway 25, then turn east on 17th Ave and go 3 1/8 miles. The property is on the north side of the road.


The property was purchased through the Extensive Wildlife Habitat Area (EWHA) program. Prairie grasses were planted on the adjacent fields. These fields are periodically burned to maintain waterfowl and upland bird nesting habitat.


The Sampson Extensive Wildlife Habitat Area offers many recreational opportunities.
