What can I do at the hatchery?

Visitors to Les Voigt Hatchery will want to check out the large and elaborate visitor's center that contains a 3,500 gallon aquarium. You can also watch hatchery operations first hand from a viewing area.

During the spring, you may witness spawning steelhead jumping at Red Dam on Pike's Creek. This spetacular site is within walking distance from the hatchery.

A Victorian Beginning

The handsome standstone building at the entrance was built in 1897. Still in use today, it provides suplemental fish rearing space. Hatchery operations were updated with the construction of modern buildings in 1974. The newer building holds 34 fish-rearing tanks and an educational exhibit area.
