State Fish Hatchery and Facility Open Houses

Dates vary - some open house events are held in conjunction with Free Fishing Weekend in June.

We do not have any open house events scheduled right now, so please check in again another time.

Go behind the scenes

Pack up the family and visit an egg collection facility or hatchery! Drop in on special events to get behind-the-scenes tours of state fish hatcheries and egg collection facilities.

Celebrate Earth Day with fun fish activities for families: build a spinner, fish egg stages of development, mguided tours at 10 am and 1 pm.

Description: Earth Day Celebration (While the official date is April 22, we always celebrate it on the last Saturday in April.)

  • Kids' casting games
  • Fly casting
  • Fly-tying
  • Fish identification
  • Gyotaku - Japanese fish print-making
  • Build a spinner bait
  • Learn about fish egg development
  • Guided tours at 10 a.m. adn 1 p.m.
