Instructions for installing DNR well forms program

Each program file is available in 2 version types, the EXE and ZIP extension. The EXE version runs the program installation and the ZIP version is a zip compressed file of the installation program. The zip format may require an external program such as Pkzip or WinZip to uncompress the file. Some internet firewalls and email systems may restrict the download of executable (.exe) extension files.

Always install this software as the System Administrator or under an Administrative account.

  1. Download the Executable Version or the Zip Compressed File.
  2. Using Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), double click on the “GW-Forms.Exe” or “GW-Forms.Zip” file icon.
  3. The .EXE file version will install the application directly. Double-click on the file icon and follow the installation screen prompts.
  4. The .ZIP version must be unzipped first before the .EXE program installation file inside can be run.
  5. When the install program has finished, you should have a menu choice under your “Programs” or “All Programs” choice menu under the “Start” button menu, titled “Well Forms Program 5.1” and a desktop icon.
  6. You may want to delete the original downloaded file to recover the disk space. The file no longer needed unless you want to install this program on another PC. You should delete the temporary installation directory (C:\DNR-TEMP) to recover this disk space.

Questions or problems with installation or updating should be directed to Randell Clark.
