Get outdoors to a Wisconsin State Park, Forest or Trail.
The majority of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources properties are open, with special conditions to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and protect natural resources. A map of properties is available here.
The DNR will modify operations to maintain the safest environment for visitors and staff, consistent with Gov. Evers’s Badger Bounce Back Plan which outlines important criteria for Wisconsin to be able to reopen its economy in phases and includes steps to make sure workers and businesses are prepared to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
At times, properties may reach their pre-determined capacity. When this happens, visitors may be denied entry to the park until existing visitors leave. Visitors are encouraged to explore other DNR recreation properties or visit during non-peak hours (before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m.).
Below you can check the current capacity status of each property you are interested in visiting. Please do make a note that this information changes frequently, and you could be denied entry based on the current situation at the property. Please plan your trip accordingly. We at the DNR thank you for your patience and cooperation as we all go through the COVID-19 emergency together.
