Statewide Forest Action Plan Part 2:Statewide Forest Strategy 2010

Wisconsin's Statewide Forest Strategy 2010 is the second part of the Statewide Forest Action Plan. It is a statement of intent by those most involved in the protection and sustainable management of Wisconsin's forests, describing ways to address the trends and issues that could significantly impact Wisconsin's forests over the next decade. However, the Strategy is not a final product; it is the start of an ongoing conversation for the forestry community.

How to use the Statewide Forest Strategy

statewide forest strategy document

The Strategy consists of goals, strategies and possible actions that the forestry community can take, organized into five themes. The Strategy acknowledges that the major issues and threats affecting the forests of Wisconsin cannot be tackled by one group, organization or agency. Hence, the strategies and activities presented here are opportunities to build synergy and focus efforts within the forestry community.
