Green Bay Guide Information
In order to better manage the fisheries of Green Bay and Lake Michigan the WDNR has implemented guiding requirements for guides operating on Wisconsin waters of the Great Lakes already established under NR 20.65 Report of Licensed Guides. We require guided trip information for Wisconsin waters of Green Bay during the ice fishing season only. This information is very important to our management of several species of fish in Green Bay and is a great supplement to our standard creel survey program.
In order for licensed guides to understand the program and the reporting requirements, the department has conducted a meeting in the past and will conduct a meeting in December 2018 to update stakeholders on the progress of this important initiative.
