MUSKEGO, Wis. - Inpro Corporation is an applicant for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' Green Tier program as a Tier 2 participant. The company has been a Tier 1 participant since 2014 and is seeking to advance to Tier 2, enabling them to negotiate an environmental contract with DNR outlining their strategy for superior environmental performance. Doing so will enable additional opportunities for environmental improvements and allow for certain types of regulatory flexibility.

"Our sustainability tracking initiatives indicated to us we are in a good position to be a Tier 2 participant in the Green Tier program," said Inpro CEO Phil Ziegler. "We view our efforts to achieve Tier 2 status as another step on our journey."

Under the current proposal, Inpro would maintain an environmental management system that is certified to the International Organization for Standardization for environmental management (ISO 14001). The ISO 14001 framework is widely accepted for environmental systems and is standardized across industries and countries.

Founded in 1979, Inpro is a global provider of high-performance, design-forward architectural products for building professionals. Based in Muskego, Wisconsin, Inpro makes and services products with an obsessive commitment to protecting buildings and the well-being of the people who use them. Inpro's product categories include door and wall protection, washroom systems, expansion joint systems, privacy, elevator protection, architectural signage and commercial window treatments. They have a robust sustainability program to improve environmental impacts by setting goals and ensuring continual improvement as they work toward superior environmental performance.

DNR will accept comments, requests to participate in contract negotiations or requests for a public informational meeting concerning Inpro's intent to participate in Tier 2 through Dec. 29. Comments and requests should be directed to Weston Wegener, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, 101 S. Webster St. EA/7, Madison, WI, 53703, Weston.Wegener@wisconsin.gov, 608-284-0908.

More information on InPro's participation can be found on the Green Tier web page: https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/GreenTier/Participants/Inpro.html.
