PESHTIGO, Wis. - The Peshtigo Harbor Target Range in Marinette County will reopen for target shooters and gun-deer season preparations following the completion of facility safety improvements and general maintenance.
The range, located at W2490 Hipke Road, will open on these dates for target shooters and deer hunters to sight-in firearms before the gun-deer season starts on Nov. 23.
The new open times are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The range will be staffed during open hours, and users are always urged to follow site rules.
After the November open dates, the range will be closed for the season due to staffing and other range safety improvements, such as electronic gates and security cameras.
DNR R3 Program Team Supervisor Keith Warnke said the limited closure also allowed for a review of operations to ensure users enjoy a high-quality shooting experience.
