MADISON - Requests to consider updating rules related to recreational vehicle regulations and rules pertaining to wetland mitigation are among the items the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board will address when it meets August 14 in Wausau. The board meeting will convene at 8:30 a.m. in the Jefferson Room at Jefferson Street Inn, 201 Jefferson St.
The Natural Resources Board will offer remote participation from the DNR Service Center, 2300 North Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Milwaukee. Remote participation will be for an open forum with the board at approximately 10:15 a.m. following a break. The open forum is an opportunity for citizens to provide testimony remotely or at the Wausau meeting location on matters that are not otherwise on the meeting agenda. Comments generally should address broad general policy rather than the day-to-day operations of the Department of Natural Resources. Opportunities for remote testimony are noted on the meeting agenda. Pre-registration by the posted deadline is required.
Future remote open forum locations include: Fitchburg for the September 25 meeting when the board will be meeting in Mishicot; Rhinelander for the October 23 meeting in Madison; and Green Bay for the December 11 meeting in Madison.
