Eurasian Watermilfoil (EWM) Control
Eurasian watermilfoil is an invasive species that is found across the state. In some waterbodies where it is found, there is a desire to control the growth of this plant. DNR Science Services are investigating multiple control methods in order to determine both efficacy and possible unintended effects.
DNR Science Services staff are studying the effects of whole-lake management techniques on the control of invasive aquatic species and impacts to the native communities.

Following several years of data collection, DNR Science Services researchers are synthesizing the findings of different treatment strategies to determine the most effective way to approach Eurasian watermilfoil management in the state of Wisconsin.
