Sign Installation - Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS)
The Wisconsin DNR is working on an effort to replace all old Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) boat landing signs with a new sign (updated in 2010) and are asking for partners to assist with this effort. The new AIS Boat Landing Sign is free of charge. Posts and hardware are also available, if needed. Signs will be available for both public and private landings.
Request AIS Boat Landing Sign(s): Contact Tim Campbell at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 608-267-3531.
Sign Posting Instructions: Prior to posting a new sign, please review the AIS Sign Posting Instructions as the placement of the new sign(s) will likely be different from existing AIS signs. All old AIS signage should be removed from the landing area and replaced with the new sign. All efforts should be made to place the new sign FACING THE WATER as to make the sign visible to boaters as they are EXITING the water.
AIS Sign Survey Form: In an effort to keep track of which signs have been posted, DNR is asking partners to fill out at Boat Landing Sign Survey for each sign posted. Please mail all completed surveys to:
