DELAFIELD: Pewaukee Lake Water Quality Monitoring
Conduct baseline monitoring of flow, total phosphorus, and total solids to the lake and compare to data collected during storm events and during maximum boat usage over 2 year's time. Samples will be collected in spring, summer and fall along with flow measurements and analyzed for total solids and total phosphorus. Event monitoring will take place over the same time period and will be analyzed for total solids and total phosphorus. Boating impact will be determined by sampling at three sites in thelake during peak holiday boat usage and analyzing for total phosphorus, soluble phosphorus and total solids. A total of 132 total phosphorus, 132 total suspended solids and 12 soluble phosphorus samples will be analyzed all by the State Lab of Hygiene.Weather monitoring will be conducted and will include rainfall, snowfall, wind direction and speed, water temperature and evaporation rate. Information will be distributed to the public by newsletter mailings, entire report mailings, public meetings, andlocal newspaper articles.
