Detailed information: The DNR is submitting this SIP revision to the U.S. EPA as required by the federal Clean Air Act (CAA). This SIP requests EPA to approve a second, 10-year maintenance plan for the Door County, Kewaunee County, Manitowoc County and the Milwaukee-Racine 1997 8-hour ozone maintenance areas. In 2004, EPA designated these areas as nonattainment of the 1997 ozone standard. All nonattainment areas, apart from Sheboygan County, were subsequently redesignated to attainment/maintenance for this standard between 2008 and 2012.
