Detailed information: The Phelps Sanitary District No. 1 wastewater treatment facility is located at 2171 Tower Road in Phelps. Discharge is to a wetland discharging into an unnamed tributary to the Deerskin River within the Deerskin Watershed in the Upper Wisconsin River Drainage Basin in Vilas County. The proposed WPDES permit WI-0029050-10 includes a variance to the water quality standard for copper.
