Wild Wetlands

The Wisconsin Wetlands Association is celebrating its Golden Anniversary! Join executive director Tracy Hames for refreshments, conversation and a presentation featuring the stunning photographs of photographer Laurie Smaglick-Johnson. Raffle tickets for a print of choice will be sold. WWA will pay for a daily park sticker if you don't have an annual one. There's an off-property tour the next day as well-visit Wisconsinwetlands.org for details. Meet at the Visitor Center.

WOOSH Rocket Launch.

If you built a rocket on the July 17, now is the time to launch it! If you didn't build a rocket, stop out and see rockets small and large launch high into the sky. Meet at Parking Lot JJ on the runway. Program is weather dependent.

Bring your phone or camera and drop in before 3 p.m. You'll get a clue sheet then it's up to you and your team or family to search the park and photograph the answers! You may even win a small prize! Meet at the Visitor Center but you will need to drive.

Wolf Lake Trail Run/Walk

Time: 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Activities: Outdoor activity, Race, Run, Walk
Location: Richard Bong SRA

Enjoy a beautiful 5K or 10K run or a 1 mile walk to raise funds for the park!  Raffles, homemade bakery and pottery mug awards. 

Fee prior to Sept. 10 is $30/adult, $18 for youth ages 14 and younger. Download a registration from the Bong Naturalist Association website [exit DNR].

No park entrance fees for participants. Meet at the beach (please remember that pets are not allowed at the beach). Packet pick up 8-9:15 a.m. Run starts at 9:30 a.m.
