Candlelight Snowshoe Hike

Time: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Activities: Candlelight events, Hike, Nature study, Outdoor activity, Snowshoeing
Location: MacKenzie Center

Come join us at the MacKenzie Center for a fun Friday night of hiking and snowshoeing. A limited number of snowshoes are available to borrow, or you can bring your own! The illuminated trail begins at the Lodge and continues through the trail system. The Lodge will be open to warm up, grab some hot chocolate, or use the restroom. Please park in the lodge parking lot and dress warm!

Friends of MacKenzie Maplefest

Come learn about past and present maple sugaring practices. There will be live music, food, horse wagon rides, interpretative displays, and much more! 50th Earth Day Celebration

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the vision of Wisconsin's own Gaylord Nelson. Come join us at the Mackenzie Center for conservation projects of varying levels of skills and abilities and learn how you can become stewards of the land, air and water. Please come prepared with attire appropriate for outdoor work, including work gloves and rain gear. Parking and check-in will be in the Badger Den parking lot. RSVP at 608-635-8105.

Youth Archery Clinic (registration required)

This free archery clinic for kids ages 8-15, will introduce your child to the sport of archery or help sharpen their skills. This clinic is open to all skill levels. MacKenzie Center Fall Festival

Come enjoy the beauty of fall at the MacKenzie Center. This family-friendly event, sponsored by the Friends of MacKenzie, will give you a chance to participate in many activities including archery, compass skills, geocaching, wildlife tours, fire building, hiking, a hay bale maze, gunny sack races, face painting, scarecrow making, hayrides and much more!  Rain date is Oct. 11.

A $15 vehicle admission covers all activities and parking. Food and gift shop items will be available at an additional cost. Come for an hour or plan to stay all day, there's something for everyone! For more information, check out the Friends of Mackenzie Website [exit DNR].
