Maple Syrup Festival

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Activities: Drop-in Program, Educational Programs, Festivals, Food, Music, Outdoor activity, Outdoor skills
Location: MacKenzie Center

Come learn about how maple sugar and syrup was made by Native Americans and pioneers, as well as current methods used today. There will be live music, food, horse wagon rides, interpretative displays, and much more! A pancake breakfast, sponsored by the Friends of MacKenzie will be served from 8 a.m. until noon at the Main Lodge for purchase.  For more information, check out the Friends of Mackenzie website [exit DNR].

Work Play Earth Day - Celebrate EARTH DAY by volunteering at your State Parks!

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Activities: Outdoor activity, Volunteer opportunity, Work day, Work Play Earth Day

Celebrate Earth Day by helping us remove invasive species, pick up litter, and participate in other activities. Individuals, businesses, school groups, and other organizations are all welcome to attend. This will be a drop-in event, so please stop by the Badger Den anytime between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. to help with various projects.

MacKenzie Center 4-Day Outdoor Skills Camp (registration required)

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Location: MacKenzie Center

During this 4-day camp for 5th-7th graders, campers will have the chance to learn and participate in many outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, woodcutting, compass skills, shelter building, archery and more! Cost of the 4-day camp is $125 and registration is required. For more information or to register your child, please call 608-635-8105. The camp dates are Mon-Thu, June 24 through 27, 2019.

Youth Archery Clinic

This free archery clinic for kids ages 8-15, will introduce your child to the sport of archery or help sharpen their skills. This clinic is open to all skill levels. Candlelight Hike and Campfire

Come on out to the MacKenzie Center for an evening hike through the trails. The illuminated trail will begin at the MacKenzie Center lodge and will include a campfire. Please park in the lodge parking lot and dress for the weather!
