Survival Skills Workshop (registration required)

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Activities: Educational Programs, Outdoor activity, Outdoor skills
Location: MacKenzie Center

Come learn some basic survival skills; including how to build a fire and shelter, and how to use a compass. This workshop is free but registration is required. Please call (608) 635-8105 to reserve your spot.

MacKenzie Center Fall Festival

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Activities: Festivals, Nature study, Outdoor activity
Location: MacKenzie Center

Come enjoy the beauty of fall at the MacKenzie Center. This family-friendly event, sponsored by the Friends of MacKenzie, will give you a chance to participate in many activities including archery, compass skills, geocaching, wildlife tours, fire building, hiking, a hay bale maze, gunny sack races, face painting, scarecrow making, hayrides and much more! Night Hike and Campfire

Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Activities: Candlelight events, Food, Hike, Night event, Outdoor activity
Location: MacKenzie Center

Come on out to the MacKenzie Center for an evening hike through the MacKenzie Center trails. The illuminated path will begin at the MacKenzie Center lodge and will include a bonfire with s'mores. Come for a quick hike or stay all evening. After your hike, enjoy some hot chocolate by the fireplace in the lodge. Please park in the lodge parking lot and dress for the weather!

Sign up to learn how to make your own holiday greenery. You must preregister and prepay ($10) at the MacKenzie Center (608)-635-8105 prior to the class. All supplies required will be provided, but feel free to bring any materials you may have.
