Kayak Essentials Class

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Activities: Canoeing/kayaking, Outdoor activity, Outdoor skills
Location: Kettle Moraine SF - Pike Lake Unit

This 4-hour session will provide skills to maneuver your kayak around obstacles, using simple body moves to maximize turns and paddle control. This class is intended for the amateur paddler (one who has paddled a few times in the past) and would like to increase their knowledge and expertise on the water. There will be on shore training before being on the water. Kayaks and paddle gear are available if needed and included in the price; cost is $60. Maximum class size 10. Pre-registration is required and will close 24 hours prior to beginning of class. Register at the Silent Wake website [exit DNR]. A State Park Vehicle Admission Sticker is required. Sponsored by Silent Wake.

Meet at the HWY Q Boat Launch near the Town of Monches.
