Halloween Nature Hikes

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Activities: Arts and Crafts, Children's program, Drop-in Program, Festivals, Hike, Night event, Outdoor activity
Location: Kettle Moraine SF - Northern Unit

Let's go for four on the floor! Stroll the dark autumn woods to meet those animals with four feet on the ground including as the swift-footed whitetail deer, ancient snapping turtle, secretive spotted salamander, and quick-digging star-nosed mole. This is not a scary hike and is best for those over 5 years of age. Groups leave every six minutes. The last hour-long hike leaves at 8:30 pm. While waiting for your hike, enjoy playing fun-filled games, making a craft to take home, or snacking by the glow of a campfire. In the event of severe weather, the event will be canceled for that night. Location: Mauthe Lake Recreation Area (located off County Road GGG south of County Road SS near New Prospect).

Creating habitat in your yard helps native wildlife and plant species, increases your property value, improves human health, and beautifies your surroundings.This program is best for people over the age of 10 years old.
