June 2-3 is Free Fun weekend in Wisconsin. At High Cliff there will be fishing poles and tackle available at the park office. Free worms while supplies last at the park office between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., compliments of the Friends of High Cliff. Please return the equipment in the condition you found it in so the next person can enjoy it.

Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.to meet Dick Nickolai, Retired DNR Wildlife Biologist, and Bob Ring, Martin Caretaker. They will be demonstrating bird banding. Meet at thecolony near the park office. Wear close-toed shoes. Event is weather-dependent.

High Cliff Aurora BayCare Toughman

High Cliff State Park will host the annual Aurora BayCare Toughman (formerly known as the High Cliff Triathlon). A state park vehicle admission sticker is required by all participants and spectators. Playing with Shakespeare: Get Outside with Will Children's Workshop

Think Shakespeare is old and boring? Think again! Join the Summit Players for 45 minutes of fun and brain acrobatics! Play some games, work with some text, and explore the natural world. Learn how Shakespeare used nature in his plays and why his characters talk the way they do. Shed any iambic penta-jitters, then join us for the show! 1 p.m. workshop; 2:30 p.m. performance. Meet at the Upper Park Pavilion.

Shakespeare in the Park "Twelfth Night"

Time: 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

The Summit Players are a traveling theatre company who present short, accessible, free Shakespeare workshops and performances to audiences around the state of Wisconsin. Summit Players shows are produced with new cuttings of Shakespeare's scripts that become tight, 75-minute shows of mayhem, character switches, and hilarity. The production is 'Shakespeare out of a trunk,' with minimal set, costumes and props and a focus on actors, as per the style of Shakespeare's time. Prior to the performance, company members will lead a 45-minute children's workshop. 1 p.m. workshop; 2:30 p.m. performance. Meet at the Upper Park Pavilion.

Randy Hetzel, Wildlife Biologist and member of the Madison Area Herpetological Society, will present his animals, give visitors the opportunity to touch or hold the critters, answer questions about reptiles in the wild, and discuss responsible ownership of reptiles as pets.
