Peninsula State Park, an official Wisconsin Migration Stopover Site, is hosting an opportunity to go birding with the park naturalist. Meet at Weborg Shelter at 9 a.m. to stroll this birding hotspot. Yellow-rumped warblers, mergansers and flycatchers frequent this area. Bring binoculars if you have them (limited supply will be available). We'll also identify violets an other blooming flowers. Dress to be outside. Easy walking. This program is free and open to the public but a state park vehicle sticker is required.

Considered Wisconsin's most complete park, Peninsula offers 468 campsites, three group camps, a summer theater, an 18-hole golf course, sand beach, bike trails, a lighthouse and eight miles of Door County shoreline. The rollicking waves that skip towards Peninsula's sky high bluffs are part of the Niagara Escarpment.
