Twilight Hike

1205 days old

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Activities: Hike, Night event, Outdoor activity, Snowshoeing
Location: Devil's Lake SP

As the sun sets and the light fades from the sky, a new group of animals awaken. We will explore the world of the crepuscular (active at dusk and dawn) and nocturnal (active at night) animals. Bring your sense of adventure as we search and listen for things that move around at twilight. We'll hike the Johnson Moraine Trail - a relatively flat trail with some dips and small hills. We'll hike 2 to 3 miles during this hike. Meet at the Steinke Basin Parking lot.

Devil's Lake SP information

Founded in 1911, Devil's Lake is the third oldest state park in Wisconsin, the largest, and the most visited. Devil's Lake offers magnificent views from 500-foot quartzite bluffs overlooking a 360-acre lake. Enjoy lakeshore picnic areas, sandy swimming beaches, 29 miles of hiking trails, or ease into the backcountry solitude. Devil's Lake is a beautiful year-round park with an intriguing natural history along the 1,000-mile Ice Age National Scenic Trail.
