Thousand-Miler: An Evening with Nature Program

Millions of people take to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail every year, but only a few intrepid hikers become Thousand-Milers, those who travel the full 1000-mile route. Join Melanie Radzicki McManus, Thousand-Miler and Author, as she shares tales of her incredible adventures of through hiking the entire Ice Age Trail. This program is most appropriate for people over the age of 12 years. Meet at the Turning Rivers Camp (located off Youth Camp Road between County Road G and County Road S near New Fane)


Kettle Moraine SF - Northern Unit information

The Kettle Moraine Northern Unit is comprised of about 30,000 acres stretching 30 miles across Sheboygan, Fond du Lac and Washington Counties. The forest is managed for multiple use, including recreation management, sustainable forest products, water quality and soil protection, terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, native biological diversity and aesthetics.
