Early Morning Bird Hike

645 days old

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Activities: Birding, Hike, Nature study
Location: Devil's Lake SP

This event has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Join the naturalist to discover what birds have migrated back. We'll hike the Steinke Basin/Johnson Moraine trails to look for spring migrants. These trails are relatively flat, with small hills. The trails can be muddy in the spring, so make sure to wear boots or shoes that can get wet. Bring a pair of binoculars or borrow a pair to use on the hike. This program is best for adults and older children. Meet at the Steinke Basin Parking Lot.

Devil's Lake offers magnificent views from 500-foot quartzite bluffs overlooking a 360-acre lake. Enjoy lakeshore picnic areas, sandy swimming beaches, 29 miles of hiking trails, or ease into the backcountry solitude.
