Snowshoe the Kettle Moraine

Join the naturalists for our winter snowshoeing events at the Kettle Moraine State Forest! Enjoy the beauty of the Southern Unit while snowshoeing along the trails, then warm up with a mug of hot chocolate following the event. Limited supply of snowshoes in adult and youth sizes available for use on a first-come, first-served basis. New to snowshoeing? This is the perfect opportunity to give it a go with other outdoor enthusiasts. If there is not sufficient snow, we will still hike the trails. Meet at the Forest Headquarters, W39091 Hwy. 59, Eagle WI.


Kettle Moraine SF - Southern Unit information

More than 22,000 acres of glacial hills, kettles, lakes, prairie restoration sites, pine woods and hardwood forests can be found in the Southern Unit, making this a popular area for a wide variety of visitors. The Forest is 30 miles long, extending from the village of Dousman, almost to the city of Whitewater. The forest headquarters is 3 miles west of the village of Eagle on State Highway 59.
