Junior Rangers: BEEuties and BEEsts

Location: Havenwoods SF

Just the sound of a buzz and the flash of yellow and black stripes make many people nervous. Take some time to learn about bees and discover the BEEuty in the BEEst. Junior Ranger storytimes are for children ages 6 to 9. These programs are not for day care centers or organizations. If you would like a program for your day care center or youth organization, please call to schedule at a separate time.

Nature Photos with a Naturalist

The flowers in bloom are constantly changing through the summer. Bring your camera or smartphone to take pictures of the Milwaukee skyline, Lake Michigan, and many of our native plants and animals. Learn some tips to taking close ups of insects, and which places are most often photographed in the park. Meet at the north entrance.

Animal Feeding Day

Watch the animals in the Nature Center have lunch! Watch the box turtles munch on some salad. See the gartersnake slurp down a worm. Look at the treefrogs as the tackle a cricket or two. This program is great for all ages. Meet at the Nature Center.

Devil's Lake offers magnificent views from 500-foot quartzite bluffs overlooking a 360-acre lake. Meet the Bee Keepers
