Presented by Fox of the River Voyageur Canoe LLC Paddle a 28 foot canoe! Join us for a truly a hands on experience in history and camaraderie into the fur trade era and the lives of its most colorful participants - the Voyageurs. You'll get to paddle a Voyageur canoe and learn about the Voyageur way of life. You will step into the past with Jean Paul Pauquette and Jacques Largillier as your guides. This is a FREE program sponsored by the Friends of Devil's Lake. Activities will happen at the North Shore Boat Launch.

All furbearers are mammals, but not all mammals are furbearers. Come learn about the habits and habitats of Wisconsin's 19 furbearer species, from fishers to muskrats. Presentation by Jamie Nack, Certified Wildlife Biologist. There will be plenty of pelts, skulls and tracks to touch and explore, plus reading and art activities sponsored by the Green County Libraries. Story time and other activities, 4:30-5:30 p.m.. Speaker at 6 p.m. Bring your own picnic to eat before the speaker.

Walk into the "Ice Box" , spot the "New Old Man of the Dalles" and discover the remnants of a beach and shelter from days gone by. Meet at the Beach House.

Go on an adventure at Devil's Lake by kayak! Guides will take you on a 2 hour tour of the lake exploring the geology and lake's wildlife. Space is limited, so you'll need to preregister. If you need to rent a kayak, please let us know when you register. The rental fee is $25 for a single kayak and $45 for a double. Meet at the Chateau (North Shore Concessions). Each spring Wisconsin's frogs and toads announce their presence with a musical choir. Come to learn about these amphibians without tails and the songs they sing. Of the 12 species in Wisconsin, nine reside in Sheboygan County. Master naturalist Janet Raddatz will share her knowledge of these special creatures. This program is best for ages 10 and older; children must be accompanied by an adult. No pets allowed. Meet at the Sanderling Nature Center.

Terry Visger is a professional storyteller, who weaves stories for all ages. With her high energy performances, Terry engages her listeners and takes them on a journey of the imagination. Join Terry around the campfire for some Wisconsin campfire tales. Please, no pets. Vehicle admission sticker is required and can be purchased at the contact station. Meet at the Nature Center.

A guest speaker from the Wisconsin Historical Society will give an exciting talk about the Maritime Preservation Program and the shipwrecks found around the Door Peninsula. Meet at the Amphitheater.

Think plants are boring? Think again! They are secret heroes with superpowers saving the earth! Learn about photosynthesis, plant defenses, shapes, forms and more! Kids will make plants absorb and change colors using just water, and dye! Meet at the amphitheater.

Get your hands wet as you dip into the pond and identify the fascinating creatures that live there. Meet at the Visitor Center.

Enjoy an evening at Buckhorn and come hear some wild yarns by Marilyn Merrill at the park amphitheater. This event is free, however a state park vehicle sticker is required.

Wisconsin is home to several species of owls from the large great horned to the tiny screech. Join the staff from the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center to discover the many extraordinary adaptations owls possess to hunt in the darkness of night including large eyes, soft feathers, incredible hearing, and sharp talons. Come examine owl artifacts and meet live owls. This program is most appropriate for people more than 8 years old. Sponsored by the Friends of the Kettle. The Summit Players are a traveling, seven member theatre company who present short, accessible, free Shakespeare workshops and performances to audiences around the state of Wisconsin. Summit Players shows are produced with new cuttings of Shakespeare's scripts that become tight, 75-minute shows of mayhem, character switches, and hilarity. The production is 'Shakespeare out of a trunk,' with minimal set, costumes and props and a focus on actors, as per the style of Shakespeare's time. Prior to the performance, company members will lead a 45-minute children's workshop. 5:30 p.m. workshop; 7 p.m. performance. Meet at the Upper Picnic Area.

We start with an hour presentation, and when the weather is good, we end with time outside enjoying the night sky, viewing the moon, planets, star clusters, galaxies, and nebulae through our telescopes.

The UitP session begins with a 20-30 minute talk and slide presentation covering a broad view of astronomy and recent astronomical news. Following the presentation, a telescope is set up to view whatever astronomical objects are available. Question and answer period follows around the telescope.
