Chick-a-dee-dee-dee Nature Storytime

Always bright-eyed and full of energy, chickadees add a cheery note to any winter day. You'll be amazed by the lives these tiny birds lead. This hour of nature fun awaits 3 to 6 year olds with accompanying adults. Location: Ice Age Visitor Center (located off Hwy 67 half mile west of Dundee)


Kettle Moraine SF - Northern Unit information

The Kettle Moraine Northern Unit is comprised of about 30,000 acres stretching 30 miles across Sheboygan, Fond du Lac and Washington Counties. The forest is managed for multiple use, including recreation management, sustainable forest products, water quality and soil protection, terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, native biological diversity and aesthetics.

Winter Luminary Walk at The Hill

Heritage Hill State Park comes alive after dark with luminaries abound, living history, and tasty hot beverages and edible delights. The beauty of Northeast Wisconsin's history await as you stroll through the crisp night experiencing the breathtaking ambiance throughout a 1.5-mile pathway, that spans over 56 acres...the hidden gem that awaits you right within the Green Bay city limits. Take advantage of a visit to "The Hill" illuminated at night, with access into many of our historic buildings.

Heritage Hill SP information

Experience "living history" at this 48-acre, outdoor museum in Green Bay. The park features 25 structures from Wisconsin's past - the fur trade in 1762, Fort Howard in 1836, small towns in 1871, and ethnic farms in 1905.

Put some fragrance in your holidays as you create beautiful evergreen sprays or swags using all natural materials provided for you. Please pre-register by calling (262) 878-5601. Fee is $20. Meet at the Visitor Center but be prepared to drive. 8:30-10 a.m. OR 10:30 a.m.- Noon.


Richard Bong SRA information

Once designated to be a jet fighter base, Richard Bong State Recreation Area is fittingly named after Major Richard I. Bong, a Poplar, WI native who was America's leading air ace during World War II. The air base was abandoned three days before concrete was to be poured for a 12,500-foot runway. Local citizens had the foresight to protect this open space for future generations.
