Detailed information: On July 1, 2019, the Department of Natural Resources issued a Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit, No. WI-0061794-04-0, to B&D Dairy Farm, LLC. The permit was issued to regulate the discharge from a livestock operation located at (Main Farm) W7251 E. 6th Road, Pound, (Heifer Facility) W7276 E. 6th Road, Pound, (Little River Satellite WSF) 7651 Hillcrest Road, Oconto, which would discharge into Little Peshtigo River, Lower Peshtigo River, Little River, Middle Peshtigo River and Thunder River Watersheds, Lake Michigan Basin in accordance with the effluent limitations, monitoring requirements, and other conditions on the management and utilization of manure and process wastewater specified in the permit. On July 26, 2019, the B&D Dairy Farm, LLC, filed a Petition for a Contested Case Hearing with the DNR to review the decision to reissue the WPDES permit to B&D Dairy Farm, LLC, pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 283.63.

Discharge to an unnamed tributary to Bardon Creek within the Amnicon and Middle Rivers Watershed in the Lake Superior Drainage Basin in Douglas County. Changes from the previous permit include a proposed Phosphorus Variance.

Detailed information: The DNR is submitting this SIP revision to the U.S. EPA as required by the federal Clean Air Act (CAA). This SIP requests EPA to approve a second, 10-year maintenance plan for the Door County, Kewaunee County, Manitowoc County and the Milwaukee-Racine 1997 8-hour ozone maintenance areas. In 2004, EPA designated these areas as nonattainment of the 1997 ozone standard. All nonattainment areas, apart from Sheboygan County, were subsequently redesignated to attainment/maintenance for this standard between 2008 and 2012.
