Comments: The following information, including activities conducted outside the 1/1/2015-6/30/2015 reporting period, is provided to present a comprehensive status as of today's entry. 12/17/2014-The SIR was submitted to Shawn Wenzel (WDNR). The SIR presented the results of the 2014 field activities and provided recommendations for additional sampling activities. Reporting Period 1/7/2015-CRA received an email from Wendy Weihemuller (WDNR) indicating the SIR and associated fee were received by the WDNR and review of the submittal would be completed within 60 days. If a response was not received, Shawn Wenzel could be contacted for a status update. 3/11/2015-CRA emailed Shawn Wenzel (WDNR) regarding the status of the review of the SIR review. Shawn responded that he was in the process of reviewing it. CRA responded indicating that they would maintain their schedule for the first quarterly sampling event. 3/13/2015-Shawn Wenzel emailed CRA requesting a data table presenting all rounds of groundwater samples collected from all wells at the Site. 3/16/2015-CRA submitted a table to Shawn Wenzel summarizing the groundwater analytical results collected to date at the Site. 3/18/2015-Shawn Wenzel emailed CRA requesting a figure/map depicting the soil boring/sample locations presented in Table 1.1 of the Work Plan. CRA provided five figures depicting the current and historical sample locations at the Site. Shawn responded indicating select sample locations were not presented. CRA responded indicating there are some historical sample results which were presented but the location was not specifically identified. The sampling was conducted by others; however, the results were still included in the preliminary human health risk assessment. 3/19/2015-Shawn Wenzel emailed CRA to confirm what environmental assessment process would be completed if GM decided to close the idled plant. GM responded indicating that GM has a decommissioning process that is tailored to the expected end use of the plant. The process addresses potential aboveground and below ground conditions, evaluates potential risks and provides a basis for future remediation activities if necessary. A Site specific decommissioning plan is developed and implemented regardless of a potential property transaction. 3/20/2015-Shawn indicated that the groundwater sampling plan looks good with no recommended changes. 3/25/2015-3/26/2015-CRA completed the first quarterly sampling event at the Site pursuant to the SIR. 5/8/2015-Shawn Wenzel emailed GM and CRA providing an electronic copy of the SIR response letter which indicated that the WDNR agreed with the additional groundwater sampling plan. The WDNR stated that they anticipated soil and groundwater sampling across the Site would be completed at a later date as part of the decommissioning process or as part of any property transaction. The WDNR also provided comments on additional deliverables to be included in the next submittal. . 6/1/2015-6/2/2015-CRA completed the second quarterly sampling event at the Site pursuant to the SIR. Reporting Period Ends 7/1/2015-We are pleased to advise you that CRA joined the GHD family of companies. Effective July 1, 2015, our name changed from CRA to GHD. Other than the change of name, our business will not be affected in any way.
