Activity: Field Sampling/Monitoring
Comments: No reports were submitted during the reporting period; however, the Department approved a workplan during the period that was submitted prior to the beginning of the period. The following information, including activities conducted past the 06/30/2014 reporting period, is provided to present a complete picture of the status as of today's entry. 02/03/2014: Shawn Wenzel of WDNR approves work plan previously submitted by CRA for Site investigation, with additional requests for information and sampling data 03/03/2014: CRA sends response letter confirming the additional field work requested by WDNR, and presenting an updated scope of work and proposed schedule for implementation for approval. 04/22/2014: CRA requests status update of WDNR approval of revised scope and schedule submitted on 03/03/2014. Shawn Wenzel responds, approving the revised scope of work and schedule. CRA and GM commence with negotiating access with off-Site property owner to the north, across Delevan Drive (Wisconsin Power & Light). 06/06/2014: Martha Thompson of CRA phones Shawn Wenzel and leaves a voice mail message regarding an update on scheduling and delays encountered due to access agreement negotiations with WP&L. 06/24/2014: CRA emails Shawn Wenzel to update him that CRA and GM are still working on the access agreement. 09/03/2014: CRA initiates field work, by conducting a private utility locate to clear potential interference with proposed soil boring locations. 09/08/2014 – 09/12/2014: CRA completes installation of soil borings on and off Site and construction of monitoring wells off Site, in accordance with the WDNR-approved workplan. 09/15/2014 – 09/22/2014: CRA completes monitoring well sampling in accordance with the WDNR-approved workplan. 09/25/2014: CRA will complete surveying of new soil boring locations and monitoring wells.
