MOST OF SPILL WENT INTO SECONDARY CONTAINMENT, A SMALL AMOUNT GOT ONTO ASHPALT ON OUTSIDE OF CONTAINMENT. DRUM WORTH OF ABSORBENT WAS USED TO ABSORB SPILL. RESIDUAL MATERIAL EVAPORATED QUICKLY AFTER THE SPILL OCCURED.

OCCURED DURING TRANSFER FROM AST TO WASTE TANKER. THE TANK LEVEL INDICATOR ON THE WASTE HEPTANE TANK DID NOT MATCH WITH THE VOLUME ULTIMATELY REMOVED FROM THE TANK WHICH LED TO THE OVERFILLING OF THE WASTE TANKER. DUE TO LIGHT WEIGHT OF MATERIAL BEING REMOVED, THE WEIGHT GAUGE ON TRUCK LED THE OPERATOR TO MISCALCULATE HOW MUCH MATERIAL WAS BEING TRANSFERRED |
