NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 a joint meeting of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Board and the Natural Resources Board will convene at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 in Room G09, State Natural Resources Building (GEF 2), Madison, Wisconsin. The Boards will receive a Briefing on the Governor's Energy Independence Initiative and Renewable Energy Goals.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Natural Resources Board will check-in at the Concourse Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Natural Resources Board will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in Room G09, State Natural Resources Building (GEF 2), Madison, Wisconsin. The Board will act on items 1-7 as listed on the Agenda.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that matters concerning natural resource issues or the Department's program responsibilities or operations specified in the Wisconsin Statutes, which arise after publication of this agenda may be added to the agenda and publicly noticed no less than two hours before the scheduled board meeting, if the Board Chair determines that the matter is urgent.

      1. The Ice Age Park and Trail Foundation will donate $6,530 for construction of a wetland crossing for the Ice Age Trail at Brooklyn State Wildlife Area.
      2. Willow River State Park's Organization for Wildlife Learning (OWLs) will donate $17,000 to pay the 2007-2008 salaries of the Park's limited-term volunteer coordinator and a work study position.
      3. The Newport Wilderness Society, the friends group of Newport State Park, will donate $42,000 worth of equipment and furniture to outfit the new Hotz Wilderness Interpretive Room and naturalist office/library in the new Public Entrance and Visitor Station at Newport State Park. Added
      4. The Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin will donate $14,000 to manage and monitor Wisconsin's growing osprey population. Added
      5. Walleyes for Tomorrow, Inc. will donate $10,000 to be used to support the Milwaukee River Walleye Restoration Project. Added
