Detailed information: On July 1, 2019, the Department of Natural Resources issued a Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit, No. WI-0061794-04-0, to B&D Dairy Farm, LLC. The permit was issued to regulate the discharge from a livestock operation located at (Main Farm) W7251 E. 6th Road, Pound, (Heifer Facility) W7276 E. 6th Road, Pound, (Little River Satellite WSF) 7651 Hillcrest Road, Oconto, which would discharge into Little Peshtigo River, Lower Peshtigo River, Little River, Middle Peshtigo River and Thunder River Watersheds, Lake Michigan Basin in accordance with the effluent limitations, monitoring requirements, and other conditions on the management and utilization of manure and process wastewater specified in the permit. On July 26, 2019, the B&D Dairy Farm, LLC, filed a Petition for a Contested Case Hearing with the DNR to review the decision to reissue the WPDES permit to B&D Dairy Farm, LLC, pursuant to Wis. Stat. 283.63.

Public information hearing regarding the proposed reissuance of the Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) permit for the Oconomowoc Wastewater Treatment System.

Detailed information: The Oconomowoc Wastewater Treatment Plant, 900 S Worthington St., Oconomowoc, Waukesha County has applied for reissuance of the Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) permit. The Receiving Water and Location: Oconomowoc River (Oconomowoc River Watershed, UR-09, Upper Rock River Basin) in Waukesha County.  The permit is being re-noticed due to updates made to the chloride variance, updates to the Adaptive Management schedule, and the addition of E. coli monitoring requirements and effluent limitations.
Hearing Location (Virtual): In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency and the Governor's Safer at Home mandate, the Department of Natural Resources will be hosting public hearings via a remote, virtual connection made available to the public via the options below. This emergency rule extends the catch-and-release-only regulation for walleye on the Minocqua Chain of Lakes for an additional year to allow walleye populations to recover.
