Work Play Earth Day - Celebrate EARTH DAY by volunteering at your State Parks!

814 days old

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Activities: Outdoor activity, Volunteer opportunity, Work day, Work Play Earth Day
Location: Kohler-Andrae SP

Volunteers are needed to assist staff to clear brush from roadways, trails, and campsites, to clear sand from trails and parking lots and to pick up litter, assist with repairs to the existing cordwalks. Would you prefer indoor work? Both the accessible cabin and the Sanderling Nature Center are in need of spring cleaning. Volunteers should wear work shoes/boots, long pants, gloves and bring shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows if they have them. Individual and group efforts are all welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants are asked to meet at the indoor shelter in the north campground for group assignments. To show appreciation to volunteers, Noon lunch & refreshments will be provided. Park admission is free for those volunteering.

Pre-registration is not required for individuals; however, we would appreciate having large groups contact us prior to April 20. For more information or to register as a volunteer, please call (920) 451-4080 or email Edward.Muzikjr@wi.gov.
