Wisconsin is home to several species of owls from the large great horned to the tiny screech. Join the staff from the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center to discover the many extraordinary adaptations owls possess to hunt in the darkness of night including large eyes, soft feathers, incredible hearing, and sharp talons. Come examine owl artifacts and meet live owls. This program is most appropriate for people more than 8 years old. Sponsored by the Friends of the Kettle. Kettle Moraine SF - Northern Unit information
The Kettle Moraine Northern Unit is comprised of about 30,000 acres stretching 30 miles across Sheboygan, Fond du Lac and Washington Counties. The forest is managed for multiple use, including recreation management, sustainable forest products, water quality and soil protection, terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, native biological diversity and aesthetics.
