Nature's Carpet Spring Wildflower Hike

Location: Copper Falls SP

See what's blooming under the forest canopy. Enjoy a family-oriented hike on the Doughboys trail with the Park Naturalist to learn about and record spring phenology. Hike is 1.7 miles round trip (easy to moderate terrain). Meet at the pavilion in the main picnic grounds at 4 p.m. The Naturalist Cabin is located south of the main parking lot. Other: Children should be accompanied by an adult; sorry, no pets please.


Copper Falls SP information

Ancient lava flows, deep gorges, and spectacular waterfalls make Copper Falls one of Wisconsin's most scenic parks. Log buildings built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s add to the park's charm. There is plenty to do; hiking, bicycling, picnicking, fishing and swimming. The North Country National Scenic Trail passes through Copper Falls State Park.
