Fall Color Hike with the Naturalist

495 days old

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Activities: Geology, Hike, History, Outdoor activity
Location: Copper Falls SP

If joys do "come from simple and natural things; mist over meadows, sunlight on leaves..." as Sigurd Olson eloquently stated, you will discover them along the Doughboy's trail with a backdrop of fall color and spectacular waterfalls. Drop in at the naturalist cabin to sign up for our fall color hike. While you're at it, check out our cool pelts, kids' games, tracks, and critters. Hikes are family friendly adaptable to all ages. The naturalist cabin is located just south of the main parking lot. Children should be accompanied by an adult at programs. Sorry, no pets please.

Copper Falls SP information

Ancient lava flows, deep gorges, and spectacular waterfalls make Copper Falls one of Wisconsin's most scenic parks. Log buildings built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s add to the park's charm. There is plenty to do; hiking, bicycling, picnicking, fishing and swimming. The North Country National Scenic Trail passes through Copper Falls State Park.

Mailing Address: 36764 Copper Falls Road, Mellen, Wisconsin 54546
