Dragonfly or Damselfly?

Location: Kohler-Andrae SP

Seen darting near ponds, streams and lakeshore, these beautiful insects can be tricky to identify. Learn the difference between the two as adults and as larva. Use pond scoopers to investigate your micro-invertebrate findings with a Riveredge naturalist. Meet at the trailhead for the Black River Marsh Boardwalk, Lot 10. Event may involve walking up to 1.5 miles to seek both aquatic life phases. This is a family friendly program best for ages 6 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No pets allowed at this event.


Kohler-Andrae SP information

Kohler-Andrae State Park in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is the home of majestic sand dunes, miles of golden beach, shimmering blue Lake Michigan water, whispering pines, an abundance of wildlife, and recreational activities for everyone. Kohler-Andrae State Park is one of the last natural preserves along the Lake Michigan shore, and is open for everyone to explore and enjoy.
