Hourly Rate: $10.500 per hour, plus $0.45 per hour for evenings after 6 p.m. and $0.60 per hour for Saturday and Sunday work. Time and one half will be paid for any hours worked on holidays.

Perform law enforcement activities, conduct patrols, enforce laws, rules and regulations; issue verbal and written warnings and/or citations to visitors, seize, hold and dispose of evidence for court; testify in court; check licenses, permits, and registrations; review citations for completeness and accuracy; develop reports related to law enforcement activities within the park/forest; conduct investigations to accidents, fires and incidents on state lands; attend law enforcement training.

Governor Thompson State Park, Peninsula State Park, Potawatomi State Park, Kettle Moraine State Forest-Southern Unit, Big Foot Beach State Park, Richard Bong State Recreation Area, Blue Mound State Park, Devil's Lake State Park, Lake Kegonsa State Park, Mirror Lake State Park, Wyalusing State Park, Yellowstone Lake State Park, Interstate State Park, Kinnickinnic State Park, Willow River State Park, Buckhorn State Park, Hartman Creek State Park, Rock Island State Park, Governor Nelson State Park and High Cliff State Park.

Knowledge Required: Applicants must meet the following requirements upon hire: Possession of or eligibility to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license; at least 19 years of age; no unpardoned felony convictions; ability to meet certain medical and physical requirements including hearing and visual acuity standards, medical exam, drug screening, and suitability assessment; a minimum of 15 college level credits; meet the requirements for WI Dept. of Justice law enforcement officer certification prior to hire.
