Title: LTE - PARKS AND RECREATION SPEC (3 Positions)

Hourly Rate: Between $12.00 - $13.00 per hour depending on experience and training.

Job Description: Parks and Recreation Specialist - LTE

This position performs general visitor services and maintenance duties at Kinnickinnic State Park. This position will staff the park office, answer phones, sell admission stickers, and answer visitor questions. This position will also operate boats on the St Croix River and contact and register boat campers.

50% Perform general public contact duties such as: staff the visitor station, contact and register boat campers, sell park admission stickers and explain park policies and procedures to visitors. Use office equipment and computers.

40% Perform general maintenance duties such as: mow grass, pick up litter, clean day and overnight use areas on St. Croix River beach, clean restrooms, campfire rings and picnic grills. Develop and maintain trail surfaces. Use power tools and chain saws to remove trees and brush. Install signs. Paint grills and picnic tables. Operate vehicles and motor boats. Perform equipment maintenance.

10% Other Duties as assigned.

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License and ability to operate state vehicles and motorized boats
- Completion of a WI Boater's Safety class prior to starting
- Experience operating hand and power tools, mowers and other heavy equipment
