Title: LTE - VISITOR SERVICES ASSOCIATE (5 Positions)

Hourly Rate: $10.500 per hour.

Duration: Job starts approximately May 13, 2018

Job Description: Visitor Services Associate - LTE

Governor Dodge State Park has both full and part time Visitor Services positions available. Duties include, but are not limited to, registering campers and selling state park admission fees.

35% Sell park admission stickers, trail passes, distribute brochures and maps. Inform visitors of potential safety issues.

35% Register campers using computerized camper registration and reporting system; collect and remit fees per established guidelines. Process shelter reservations. Provide campsite information and availability information. Explain policies and regulations.

25% Answer visitor questions by phone, mail, in person; dispense park, DNR, and local area information. Provide additional information on interpretive programs and concessions operations.

5% Type reports and correspondence; perform filing and photocopy work; maintain supplies of brochures and informational handouts. Answer park radio. Process lost and found and complaint forms. Perform light housekeeping duties. Wear required uniform and be a positive representativbe of the Department.

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Excellent public relations and cash handling skills; training or experience in customer service, use of computer systems and related software applications and credit card verifiers.
- Duties will be performed with coworkers and independently. Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including holidays, nights and most weekends.
- Availability for spring and fall weekends through October is required
