Hourly Rate: $15.420 per hour.

Duration: Approximately January 22, 2018  to June 30, 2018

Job Description: Financial Specialist - LTE

Under the general supervision of the Environmental & Natural Resources Grants Section Chief, this position independently works with existing 7 grant program managers on tasks associated with administration of nearly 30 grant programs. Those tasks include: Review of applications for completeness; Keying of application data into review spreadsheets; Coordination of Council/Commission agenda, meeting materials, notes, meeting logistics, etc.; data entry of successful application into the Community Assistance Oracle System (CAOS) and PeopleSoft state accounting system; review of reimbursements requests for completeness; payment processing through PeopleSoft, creation of grant file records, records disposition in accordance with approved Bureau Records Disposition Authority, and other assigned duties.

30% Review of applications for completeness; Keying of application data into review spreadsheets; Coordination of Council/Commission agenda, meeting materials, notes, meeting logistics, etc.

20% Data entry of successful application into the Community Assistance Oracle System (CAOS) and grant requisitions into the PeopleSoft state accounting system.

30% Review of reimbursements requests for completeness; payment processing through PeopleSoft.

20% Creation of grant file records, records disposition in accordance with approved Bureau Records Disposition Authority.

Knowledge Required: Ability to interpret and understand Wis. Stats. and Wis. Administrative Codes. Ability to use personal computers, internet research tools, and Windows 10. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite 2016 including Word and mail merges, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, as well as Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to organize and prioritize workload and manage records. Ability to work with a wide diversity of professional staff. Excellent oral communication skills and writing skills. Ability to provide responses in a timely manner. Ability to learn Community Assistance Oracle System (CAOS) and PeopleSoft; training will be provided. Ability for creative problem-solving. Highly successful candidates will have received training in project management and/or have skills resulting from past project management experience.
