Job Description: Wastewater Specialist - LTE

This position will assist in coordinating and implementing the Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) storm water permit program including issuance of permit coverage, evaluation of permit related submittal materials, conducting compliance inspections, and maintain computer tracking of regulated facilities. Activities will include municipal. industrial and construction site visits.

75% Assist in regulating stormwater discharges from construction sites, industrial sites and municipal sites in 6 counties in West District as well as occasionally in North District counties.

25% Maintain stormwater database to include all inspection information collected during field visits.

Knowledge Required: Review applications for completeness, able to conduct field work and general database knowledge.

***NOTE*** This position is for 20 hours/week. We plan to hire one person to fill both this position and the Water Resources Management Specialist position (Job ID 11614) which is also for 20 hours/week. Therefore, the successful applicant will work full time. If interested, please indicate in your application that you are interested in only one or in both.
