Between $12.00 - $14.00 per hour depending on experience and training.
Plus $0.45 per hour for evenings after 6 p.m. and $0.60 per hour for Saturday and Sunday work. You will be paid at time and a half for any hours worked on holidays.

Parks and Recreation Specialist-LTE
The park and recreation specialist position performs public safety, visitor services, and maintenance duties in a busy state park setting. Duties include ensuring public safety through explanation of park rules and regulations, selling of park admission passes, registering campers, and directing team members in their duties, maintenance of the parks facilities, trails and grounds. Assisting the park superintendent and monitoring the work performance of others is also an important part of this position.
40% Explain State Park rules, regulations and fees to visitors and help with special events. Manage the Park and its facilities to protect public health and safety.
40% Direct other team members and assist in the collection of fees and dissemination of information. Work at entrance stations, campgrounds or other visitor contact stations. Use electronic cash registers, electronic credit card verification equipment and computerized reservation and reporting systems. Register campers; sell admission stickers to public. Provide answers to visitor questions concerning the specific park area, as well as explain the area's recreational opportunities, interpretive services, concessions and campground availability. Manage the administration of admission sticker sales and other fee charges to efficiently maximize revenues
15% Maintenance of grounds and facilities to ensure they conform to established standards to include mow grass, pick up litter, clean public use areas and beaches, painting, maintaining restrooms and campsites, remove trees and brush, repair and maintain trail surfaces, operate vehicles and light equipment and perform repairs and maintenance to equipment and buildings.
5% Assist the Park Manager and/or Property Superintendent with monitoring the work and performance of other team members or volunteers and any other duties as assigned.
Ability to be productive working alone as well as working with a team. Excellent customer service skill required. Prior financial experience. Prior experience with rule enforcement. Prior experience leading and directing the work of others. Knowledge and skills in buildings and grounds maintenance.
