Alcohol in state parks and forests

With a few exceptions, people of legal drinking age may bring alcoholic beverages along for their picnic or campsite meals in Wisconsin state parks and forests. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in these places:

  • At Heritage Hill State Park
  • At Lakeshore State Park
  • On observation towers
  • At the McMiller Sports Center in the Kettle Moraine State Forest - Southern Unit when the range is open to shooters.

Park visitors must be considerate of others and the environment, not noisy, disruptive or destructive in any way. If you or any member or guest of your party violate any state law or Department of Natural Resources rules, you may be evicted from the park  and lose any fees you have paid.
