Richard Bong State Recreation Area Camping and reservations

There are two family (modern) campgrounds with a total of 217 campsites, 54 with electric hookups. Six group campsites can accommodate 225 campers. There is also a cabin designed specifically for people with disabilities.

Don't move firewood!Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, Wisconsin has restrictions for moving firewood.

The sunrise campground offers electric and non-electric campsites as well as some sites accessible for people with disabilities. Campground amenities include a shower building, flush and vault toilets, dump station and playground area.

Accessible cabin for people with disabilities

Accessible Cabin and rampAn accessible cabin for people with disabilities is available at the property. The cabin has electricity, heat and air conditioning, a stove top, microwave, refrigerator, two fully automated hospital beds, a Hoyer lift, a full-sized sofa bed, two cots, kitchen table and chairs, a modern bathroom with wheel-in shower and commode chair, screened porch and an outdoor accessible fire ring.

Firewood

Firewood can be purchased from neighboring farms. You may ask for maps to local vendors when you arrive
