Kohler-Andrae State Park Reservable shelters

Kohler-Andrae State Park has both an open and enclosed shelter and an amphitheater available for reservations.

Reservations may be made up to 11 months in advance. For all reservations, use the Facility Rental Reservation Form (please note this application form does not guarantee your reservation - the property office will notify you when your reservation has been confirmed). Reservations may be made in person, by mail, e-mail or via telephone. If calling in a reservation, be ready to provide the information requested on the form. Vehicle admission stickers are required on all vehicles. For more information, please contact the property office.

Open Shelter: Available year round, this 32 x 32 feet shelter is located in the southern picnic area near the playground area. It contains 2 electrical outlets, a night light and several picnic tables. Capacity is 40. ($45/day).

Enclosed shelter: Located in the campground next to campsite 13, this building features large glass windows overlooking the picnic area and Lake Michigan. The volleyball court, beach, baseball diamond and playground are within a short walk. A large grill is available outside the shelter.

The rental area consists of two rooms. Room One is 23 x 27 feet and contains heat, electrical outlets, lights, counter space, sink, five tables and 40 chairs. Room Two is 22 x 39 feet. It features a fireplace, eight picnic tables and night lights.

The shelter does not have kitchen facilities. Cooking hot dogs and marshmallows in the fireplace is permitted. Parking is available in the picnic lot east of the building.

Upon check-in, a key will be issued and must be returned upon departure. The enclosed shelter is available April 1 through November 30. Capacity is 100. ($100/day).

Amphitheater: Surrounded by tall pine trees and located in the southern part of the park, the Amphitheater is frequently used for weddings, services and awards ceremonies. The area contains a small stage with electrical outlets and fire ring. This area is open year round, but is not available Sundays 9-10 a.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Capacity is 198. ($10/hour).
