Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area Trail descriptions

Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area has nine miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails, including two miles of interpretive nature trails. Bicycles, motor vehicles and horses are not allowed on the trails.

Hiking Hiking trails

Hike through a 15-acre tall grass prairie restoration or view wildlife along a one-mile wetland trail that's accessible for people with disabilities.

Cross-country skiing Cross-country ski trails

The ski trails vary in difficulty and are groomed for both stride and skate styles of skiing. Sleds, snowboards, snowshoes and hikers are not allowed on groomed ski trails. Skiers age 16 years and older must have a state trail pass.
