The park is mostly open prairie, with 38 of its 172 acres in oak woods.

Picnicking Picnicking and shelters

Picnicking is available in the park and there is an open reservable shelter.

Bicycling Pets

Pets are allowed in designated pet areas only and must be on a leash at all times. Maps showing pet areas are located at all parking lots.

Canoeing/Kayaking Boating, canoeing and kayaking

You can canoe, kayak or boat in the Crawfish River.

Fishing Fishing

Fishing is available in the Crawfish River. Fishing licenses apply.

Hunting Trapping Hunting and trapping

Hunting and trapping are allowed in the open areas of the park during the Wisconsin state parks hunting and trapping time frame. Trapping is not permitted in closed areas as noted on the park hunting map or within 100 yards of any designated use area, including trails. Certain trap types are restricted on state park properties. For more information, please see:

Cross-Country Skiing Winter activities

Cross-country skiing is allowed, but trails are not groomed. Snowshoeing and winter hiking are permitted. Sledding is not permitted at the park. It is illegal to sled on the mounds.
